Testo, musica,
coreografie scelte dagli studenti.
hai imparato a farlo poi ti viene spontaneo.
Video of the rap of the current 2 E class, realised in
May 2013. Text, music and choreography were chosen by the students.
The project was realised during the hours
co-facilitated by the English Language teacher, Prof. Carla Langella, and the
English Language Conversation teacher Prof. Silvia Balossi Restelli who devised
the activity. The founding idea of the didactical project is the total
involvement of the person and the group’s self-empowerment. When we need to
tackle a real task in a foreign language, we use all our resources. Movement,
rhythm and coordination accompany and empower our cognitive luggage.
Cooperation between class mates animates the desire to get involved and leads
to the development of self-esteem and confidence building. The achievement is
‘cool’ and satisfying and encourages to keep walking on the path of creativity
within the scholastic effort. The group cohesion which derives from such a demanding
task is vital. Its “tribal effect”, so to say, has a positive trigger-down
effect on all the other collaborative activities. It’s a bit like going on a
bicycle or dancing. Once you learn how to do it, it becomes natural.
